Plans to build the UK’s first city-based wellbeing resort in Manchester (in Peel L&P’s TraffordCity) approved to go ahead, with construction set to begin in 2021.

Therme Manchester will create a unique experience on a scale never before seen in the UK, combining hundreds of water-based activities with wellbeing treatments, art, nature and technology.

Spanning a whopping 28-acres ( that's the size of 19 football pitches!) Therme Manchester will be situated in Manchester's busy central shopping district, next to Barton Square and with a Metrolink station directly outside.

A tropical oasis within a busy city environment

The interior of Therme Manchester will emulate a natural landscape, with thousands of plants and trees and a centrepiece 'garden' spanning two-acres.

Designed in the shape of a rose, this bio-diverse garden will be an 'evolving work of art', with beautiful petal-shaped terraces, tranquil pools and striking water features. This garden will act as the crowning jewel in the resort and the central hub for socialising, learning and discovery.

Therme Manchester will be an inclusive tropical paradise for all. There will be a family zone with a host of waterslides, a wave pool, indoor and outdoor pools, steam rooms, exotic palm tree relaxation areas and dozens of other fun, relaxing and healthy activities to keep children of all ages entertained for hours.

It's not just the kids who can have all the fun. There will be a dedicated area exclusively for adults to enjoy some peace and quiet. Guests can immerse themselves in warm-water lagoons set within spectacular botanical gardens, and enjoy swim-up bars, therapeutic mineral baths and beautifully designed steam rooms and saunas.

For those wishing to nourish their physical wellbeing, there will also be a host of fitness classes set to take place against the backdrop of the beautiful gardens.

Created lovingly with sustainability at the forefront

Therme Manchester will be brought to life by designers, artists, architects and engineers who are world-class within their field, thus ensuring the highest levels of experience, quality and sustainability.

Nature and art will be an integral part of the Therme Manchester experience, playing an essential part in the bio-diverse resort's aim to help nurture and restore physical wellbeing and mental health for all,

A wide range of individual wellbeing treatments will be available, with programmes tailored for guests of all ages and needs. With advanced body scanners and skilled therapists, each guest can have a unique programme designed especially for them, inspired by traditions from across the globe.
