Important Update: 10th March 2020

Event News Mar 10, 2020 at 5:27pm

The Completely Events team want to reassure you that we are closely and constantly monitoring the situation surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the UK.

The UK edition of Completely Retail Marketplace is now seven weeks away, and we are currently following the government’s advice that it should be 'business as usual', and therefore the event is going ahead as planned.

Why should this event still happen?

Exhibitions are especially important for the economy and April’s Completely Retail Marketplace UK provides a focal point for everyone in retail property to come together to do business.

Times are currently challenging enough for our industry, so we plan to fulfil our obligation to our exhibitors and visitors unless, of course, the situation changes dramatically and the government issues guidelines that prevent public gatherings.

Are any special measures in place?

Everyone has a duty to help contain the spread of the virus in every way they can and we’ll be taking every sensible measure around Completely Retail Marketplace UK and all of our upcoming events.

This includes, but will not be limited to:

• Asking all attendees and staff not to travel to the event if they feel unwell
• Asking attendees and staff not to attend our events if they are travelling from or have recently returned from any of the higher risk countries or areas listed on the government website
• Asking all attendees and staff to follow all appropriate personal hygiene practices, before, during and after the event

The majority of the delegation at Completely Retail Marketplace UK come from within the UK. Any participants who were planning to travel from a country or area of higher risk have been, or will be, advised that they cannot attend the event.

If the authorities do advise us to postpone or restrict numbers at the event in the light of COVID-19, then we have contingency measures in place. We will provide more updates and advice to all event participants over the coming weeks as the need arises.
